The Michigan Theatre of Jackson, Inc., is an historic landmark.
Built in 1930, it has old-fashioned charm and elegance with outstanding acoustics. A tour of the building is available to determine how our facility can make your event spectacular. BASIC FACILITY RENTAL Rates listed include the rental of the facility with three hours of time with one technician or projectionist, lighting set at a general stage wash, and basic cleaning services. Additional charges for equipment, personnel and special event needs may apply.
RENTAL RESERVATIONS are accepted based on availability. A deposit of 50% of the estimated contract total is due upon signing of the contract. Payment of the contract total less the deposit is due no later than the day of the event. Deposits are not refundable regardless of reason for cancellation.
BASIC FACILITY RENTALS
Sunday through Thursday Evenings (5 p.m. to 11 p.m.) - $1,200.00
Friday and Saturday Evenings (5 p.m. to 11 p.m.) - $2,000.00
Friday, Saturday or Sunday Matinee (12 noon to 5 p.m.) - $1,050.00
Weekday matinees, Monday through Thursday (12 noon to 5 p.m.) - $600.00
SCHOOL ASSEMBLY SPECIAL
Special weekday school assembly package - $350 minimum
Per person admission which includes small pop & popcorn - $6.00
EVENT REHEARSAL RENTAL
(Contingent upon facility availability. Fee for maximum 3 hours of facility use)
Weekday Afternoon (12 noon to 5 p.m.) - $450.00
Weekday Evening (5 p.m. to 11 p.m.) - $600.00

Equipment:
Spotlight- $200.00 (plus operator); Sound System- $750.00 (plus technician); Intelligent Lighting System- $500.00 (plus technician).
Technicians: $40 per hour per technician. At least one technician is required to be on the premises at all times. Special Equipment Operators are $20 per hour per person.
Films: The cost varies depending on the film distribution company needed.
Security: Contracted by the Michigan Theatre. Cost varies according to security company.
Catering: Arrangements can be made by the Michigan Theatre with an added service charge based on the size and complexity of the menu. Food and beverages normally stocked by the Michigan Theatre must be purchased from the Michigan Theatre.
Liability: Proof of public liability insurance, license to serve alcohol and/or licensed security personnel may be required and must be provided depending on the type and size of the event. (Contingent upon facility availability. Fee for maximum 3 hours of facility use) Weekday Afternoon (12 noon to 5 p.m.) - $450.00
Weekday Evening: (5 p.m. to 11 p.m.) - $600.00
