Rent the Michigan Theatre

Rent the Michigan Theatre for your event. The Michigan Theatre will even promote your event by posting materials on our website, Facebook, and Twitter. Promoters should call for specific prices for ticketed events.  

Rental Details

  • Theatre access
  • One house technician (8 hours for a full day rental, 4 hours for part day rental)

  • Drum Set (five piece with cymbals and seat) Mapex or Pearl available.  $475 (Delivered)
  • P.A. Rental Available.  Base rental includes two three way powered Mackie Speakers, three JBL PRX12 monitors, one four piece drum mic kit, four Shure SM57 instrument mics, four Shure Beta 58 vocal microphones.  Delivered within a forty mile radius and includes a technician for a maximum of six (6) hours.  $1875. (Balance due in cash or certified check before equipment is off loaded)
Option 1
  • Draft beer, wine for all guests 21+ for 4 hours. $15 per person.
  • Draft beer, wine, and well mixed drinks for all guests 21+ for 4 hours. $20 per person.
  • Pop is included in bar option 1 and 2.
  • A 10% gratuity to be added at end of the event for bar options 1 and 2.
Option 2
  • House Wines (Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, White Zinfandel, Riesling, Moscato, Cabernet, and Merlot). $18 per bottle.
  • Draft Beer (Premium beer may have additional fees). ¼ barrel (serves 50 pints) $125 or ½ barrel (serves 100 pints) $250.
  • Standard well drinks. $5.
  • Premium and Top Shelf drinks. $6 – $8
  • Pop is included in bar option 1 and 2.

Option 3
  • Cash bar. Patrons pay for their own drinks at standard bar pricing.
  • Security Service is required for all receptions with bar services at $25 per hour.
  • Bar tender/bar setup fees are $2 per person (at the event) ages 21+ for all bar options.

Because The Michigan Theatre of Jackson is an historic building, great care must be taken to insure the safety and preservation of the facility. Be aware of the following rules prior to your rental of The Michigan Theatre of Jackson.

 

  • All Concerts may be reserved seating or General Admission
  • Concerts sold as “reserved seating” will adhere to the seating chart provided by The Michigan Theatre of Jackson ticketing platform.  All tickets shall be assessed a venue fee and platform fee.
  • Concerts sold as General Admission, meaning all seating is unreserved and available on a “First Come, First Serve” basis.
  • The Michigan Theatre of Jackson is a non-smoking facility.
  • Alcohol is sold only to members of The Michigan Theatre of Jackson.  One day memberships may be available for purchase at the cost of one dollar ($1).
  • DO NOT use tape, pins, tacks or nails on wood or plaster surfaces.
  • The Michigan Theatre of Jackson has a limited number of 6ft and 8ft tables (with linens) for renter’s use.
  • Date holds are taken on a first come basis.
  • Rentals must be contracted by the first date of the month prior to the month in which rental is to occur or date is considered forfeited. One half of the rental fee is required upon signing of the contract. The balance of the rental fee is due one week (7 days) prior to rental date.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY: ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE AFTER THIRTY (30) DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
  • All ticketing is presented online or at the box office during office hours.  Charges are incurred by the customer.
  • You must be 18 years or older with valid ID to attend concerts at The Michigan Theatre of Jackson or be accompanied by an adult. We card everyone, so come prepared!
  • Your belongings are your responsibility. The parking lot is lighted. However, we do not patrol the parking lot and we are not liable or responsible for any items left in your car. We have no storage available, so we suggest bring only items needed to a show.
  • Camera policies depend on the artists, so check the website or ask as you come in the door. At no time can customers use audio recording devices during performances.
  • The Michigan Theatre of Jackson does not allow any behavior that is a potential hazard to entertainers or guests.   Be respectful of other guests. We want everyone to have fun!
  • Stage Diving is not allowed, ever. Any customer attempting (successful or not) to get on the stage will be asked to leave and escorted out the door.
  • We won’t serve minors. If we observe anyone supplying alcohol to minors, security will be notified. If you use drugs in The Michigan Theatre of Jackson, you will be subject to prosecution under the law.
  • State of Michigan law prohibits smoking in any part of the venue, including the restrooms.
  • Guests are permitted to exit and re-enter the venue with valid ticket stub.  They may be subject to search.
  • If our staff perceives an item in a guest’s possession to be a weapon, entry will be prohibited. All carry-in items/bags, including purses, will be searched. Please allow sufficient time upon arrival for screening.
  • The Michigan of Jackson reserves the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct management deems disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language or who fails to comply with The Michigan Theatre of Jackson house rules. Breach of terms or rules will terminate your license to attend the event without refund. A ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused upon refunding the ticket’s face amount. A ticket is not redeemable for cash.
  • You and your belongings will be searched on entry to the event. You consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise. If you elect not to consent to such searches, you will be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation. Under The Michigan Theatre of Jackson rules, certain items may not be brought into the premises, including without limitation, alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, cameras, recording devices, bundles and containers, weapons, or firearms (regardless of license).
  • You assume all risks incidental to the event for which a ticket is issued, whether before, during or after performance and you waive any claims for personal injury or death against The Michigan Theatre of Jackson on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor.
