Development Director

Are you passionate about preserving cultural landmarks, fostering community connections, and ensuring the magic of silver-screen history lives on for generations.

The Michigan Theatre of Jackson is seeking an energetic, strategic, and community-minded Development Director to lead our fundraising, donor stewardship, and community relations efforts. As a cornerstone of our local downtown area, our historic movie theatre does more than screen independent, classic, and first-run films, concerts and other special events—we serve as a vibrant community hub and architectural treasure.

The Development Director will design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy encompassing individual giving, corporate sponsorships, capital campaigns for historic preservation, and public/private grants. You will be the face of the theatre in the community, translating our historic legacy into a compelling case for modern philanthropic support.

Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational execution of the theatre. This role ensures a seamless, high-quality experience for patrons, coordinates a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, maintains the physical and historic integrity of the facility, and optimizes revenue via concessions and ticketing. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and shares a deep passion for cinema, community, and historic preservation.
